We use WORDPERFECT as our word processor. Something has happened that automatically turned on the BOLD print. The little box on the tool bar, BOLD, is not pushed in. The printer just constantly prints everything in BOLD, thus using up an ink cartridge in a hurry. We can get rid of the BOLD type by clicking on FORMAT and then FONT. We can then change the STYLE from BOLD to NORMAL, and the print will be normal. But as soon as we call up another blank page to type something else, the cussed thing has reverted back to BOLD. We must have used gallons of ink during this torture period. The book WORDPERFECT FOR DUMMIES doesn't seem to address this issue. Gratefully Born fifty years too soon for a computer.
Hi, My guess is that the default font has been set to bold. To change this choose Format from the menu at the top and then choose Font. When the font box opens there is probably a check in the box marked Bold. Removing the check from the Bold box will only change it for that particular sheet. To change it so all new sheets will not be bold you must change the default font. To do this open the Font window, make sure the Bold box is not checked, and then click on the Settings button at the bottom and select "Set face and point size as default for all documents". I hope this helps. It sounds like you have bold as a default font. Click Format, font. Then select the font face you want and be sure that the Bold box does not have a check in it; then click on default font. That will change your default to a non-bold font.
