Dorothy, How do you know that is our John Robert THOMAS? If he was from Spartanburg, that is a good clue for us. There were POOLES there who I'm sure were related, just can't prove it. Audrey, I do not know that, I happen to have that Book, and was sharing, and thought that information might be of some help to you, there is another , Thomas listed, Rowan Thomas, has been a resident of Marion District S.C. , for 52 years, (this is dated Mar. 06, 1838, and he lived previous in Cumberland Co, N.C. Was a Private in the Rev. war.
