Dorothy, How do you know that is our John Robert THOMAS? If he was from Spartanburg, that is a good clue for us. There were POOLES there who I'm sure were related, just can't prove it. One wonders how many of us need that ONE missing clue that would connect generations! Audrey, I do not know that, I happen to have that Book, and was sharing, and thought that information might be of some help to you, there is another , Thomas listed, Rowan Thomas, has been a resident of Marion District S.C. , for 52 years, (this is dated Mar. 06, 1838, and he lived previous in Cumberland Co, N.C. Was a Private in the Rev. war.
