    3. Have you ever wondered when, or how, the people traveled through Indian Territory to migrate to other states...see the following. Audrey Source: Passports issued by Governor of GA, 1810-1820: "Page 49—Tuesday 26th February 1811 On Sundry Applications ORDERED That passports be prepared for the following persons to travel through the Creek Nation of Indians, to wit, One for Mess’rs. Lewis MITCHELL, William MC LENDON and John PURVIS, the former with his wife, five children and eleven negroes, all from Chesterfield District, South Carolina—one for Mr. William HARMAN from Beauford District, South Carolina, one for Mr Jackey PERRY and one for Mr James CLANTON from Kerchaw District, and one for Mr. John WARE from Fairfield District, South Carolina, one for Mr. James LANG from the County of Jefferson in this State, one for Mr Naaman SMART from Beaufort District, South Carolina, one for Mr John MC RAE, with his wife, four children---his mother, two sisters and nine negroes—and one for Mess’rs Reddick CONNELL and Daniel MARTIN the former with his wife and one child, and the latter with three negroes all from the County of Scriven in this State. Which were severally presented and signed." "ORDERED That Pass Port through the Creek nation to the western country be prepared for the following person with their families---to wit---James MORGAN, John H. BAINS, Thomas and Joseph CASON and Mathew SHAW, Henry BREWER, and Starling MITCHELL…Page 383—Saturday 26th December 1801" This was the same day... ORDERED That a passport to the creek nation of Indians and back prepared for MAJOR JAMES M. TAYLOR and JOHN MATHIS---which was presented and signed.
