    3. I am pleased at the response to the above article. Am also curious if any of you find an ancestor. One of my constant goals is to locate families from VA to the Carolinas, as both my husband and I have ancestors from this migration route. Thanks, Audrey

    3. I don't know this for sure, but I would think that these were land grants, possibly for service in the Rev. There are clues as to what they were for in the type of grant. But I am not familiar enough off the top of my head to remember the different types like "warrent", etc. Somewhere I have some notes I took at a workshop several years ago, but if you could see my 3 desks, stacks on the floor, and file cabinets in disarray, you would understand why I cannot put my finger on it right away. Hope someone will post to the list with knowledge about this. I will continue to look to see if I can find the info. and will post it if I do. 3. Just this morning, I was browsing through some old files and saw the Masters name. It may or may not be a connection but "leave no stone unturned".... This came from Ancestry "Descendants of Rev. John Graham". "John Graham was born in Armagh, Ireland 1694-1774 buried in Woodbury, Ct. He was the son of Andrew Graham and Jane Masters." I am sending this because his descendants moved to Orangeburg-Spartanburg area. Hope this helps.
