    1. [SC] Poole/Coachman
    2. Hi Audrey! My son has both the Poole and Coachman in his direct line!! I don't have much on the Poole's however, except for Hannah and her parents. I could send you the descendants of Hannah Poole Coachman that I do have if you wish. Most of the notes and info came from Bette Coachman Hochman. I have been trying to find out some things and have found some on my own-I still have to verify those, though. Let me know if you want Hannah's descendants! Take care, Patricia A. 1. [SC] Cameron / Outlaw
    2. I found in Southern Families by John Bennett Boddie a connection of Cameron to the Benjamin Outlaw bc. 1763/4 Duplin Co., NC; d. 1838 in Henry Co., Ala. He was in Cheraw Dist, SC in 1790, in Chesterfield C., SC in 1800. Records show him in Kershaw Co., SC in 1807/09. The census of 1810/20 in Chesterfield Co, SC. The census of 1830 in Henry Co., Ala. The census of 1830 shows his children to be also in Henry Co. His daughter Nancy Cameron bca. 1786/7 was given as administrax to his will. She is believed to have married Murdoch Cameron [only one on census of Henry Co., Ala]. Their eldest son and perhaps only son Angus Cameron was shown on the 1830 Census Henry Co., Ala with a family of 1 male and 1 female b. 1800/1810; 1 male and 1 female b. 1825/1830. He was not on the 1840 census there. I am searching for Mary J. Cameron bc. 1841 Ga. who married John W. Wood 1858 in MS and they both died in Rusk Co., TX after going to Texas by 1880 census. I would appreciate any knowledge of any other children or descendants of the above Cameron family. Gladys

    3. Rex: Thank you so much! I believe this will be very helpful to me. I have only been searching Horry Co. until I stumbled across All Saints Parish and now believe I need to search for info in the Georgetown Dist. for records in the 1700s. 3. Hi Gladys, Many of those attorneys later became very involved in politics. It is probably a William CAMERON who became a Gov either of GA or AL later. And, seeing this record in SC with William CAMERON, J. P. on a document that we know is our family, helps me understand why we have a William Cameron POOL in the family. I will look in my NC books to see if I can locate CAMERONS. I am researching the Lee family from Horry Co. My gggrandfather Noah Lee b. 20 Feb 1824 s/o John S. Lee, Sr. 6 Jan 1792 (b. in Horry Co.) d. abt 1848 and Nancy Hardee. I have found several indications that John S. Lee, Sr.'s father was also named Noah. I found a Noah Lee listed in the 1800 census in All Saints Parish and then evidence of a will from the Index to Horry Co. will, volume 1 (1799-1853). This leads me to believe that this Noah (4ggrandfather) day have lived in All Saints Parish and then moved into what is modern day Horry Co. However, the will is one of many that were destroyed by fire (just my luck). To make matters worse, this Noah's father may also have been named John. This family favored naming their children after fathers, grandfathers, uncles, etc. so you continually see the same names and variations repeated. I am inclined to believe, but am having a hard time proving that this line of Lees came to SC th! rough Charleston in the early or mid 1700's with Noah migrating to present day Horry Co. after 1800. I really appreciate your offer of help and if you have any suggestions regarding reference material, sources, etc. I would be grateful. I originally thought my family had been in Horry since the year 1 and had been concentrating only on Horry. There is evidence that John S. Lee, Sr. was a minister; and that my gggandfather (Noah) lived near the Good Hope area before he left for the Civil War and two of his sons were involved in building a church at Good Hope which was a predecessor of the present Good Hope Bapt. Ch. If anyone out there knows anything about the history or records from this church please let me know. Since I live out of state, the computer has provided me with better leads than days of searching at the Courthouse while on visiting last year and no luck in contacting the church. ----- Original Message ----- From: Dolores Pringle Sent: Saturday, March 23, 2002 10:02 PM To: SC-Genealogy-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [SC] Help finding 1880 census records Hi, Shirley, Just from living here and spending lots of time in the Pawleys area, I would say that All Saints Parish is the area near Pawleys where All Saints Episcopal is still located today. That area was and has always been in Georgetown. If you go down Highway 17 By-Pass where it meets Highway 17 Bus. the county changes from Horry (O-ree')to Georgetown right in that area. Murrells Inlet is the first town in Georgetown Co. fr. the north end. I don't really know much about Horry's history in the geographical sense, but I know that it is the largest county, land wise, in the state. It is possible that the Good Hope area of Conway backs up to All Saints, but I really don't know about that. I'm sure there are some folks around here that have lived here for many years and have your answer. If I can help or call the library for you, let me know. 3. Dolores: Thanks for the info on All Saints Parish. God bless you, Dolores -----Original Message----- From: Shirley Moon [mailto:sleemoon@msn.com] Sent: Saturday, March 23, 2002 10:39 AM To: SC-Genealogy-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [SC] Help finding 1880 census records I hope someone will be able to help me. Last night I clicked on a rootsweb research address at the bottom of a message and found wonderful info. Unfortunately, I copied the address from the address box above the census info and now when I type it in I receive the message "Page Cannot Be Displayed". Unfortunately, I now realize I should have copied the rootsweb address at the bottom of the message someone had posted through SC-Genealogy. I hope someone can help me because it was a wonderful source of census and pension info for the early 1800s for SC. Can anyone answer this question for me? I know that Horry Co. was at one time part of Georgetown District. I found my gggrandfather listed under All Saints Parish in the Georgetown Dist. Could this be the same area as the Good Hope area of Conway now? Shirley L ==== SC-Genealogy Mailing List ==== If you are leaving your current ISP, please unsubscribe!
