    1. [SC] Question Regarding South Carolina Boundaries
    2. janet yancey
    3. My Great Great Grandmother, Almarinda Johnson, b. appx. 1830. I find her on the 1860 AR. Census, stating that she was born in North Carolina. I find her on the 1870 Ohio Census, stating that she was born in South Carolina. On her Orbit notice of death, Seneca, Nemaha, KS, it states that she was born in South Carolina. My question is, was some re-mapping done, did part of North Carolina change boundaries and became South Carolina? I am trying to find out where she was born, and who her parents were. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Janet

    3. Believe the CD ROM will cost approximately the same. The person I spoke with was making a guess on the cost. There is someone else who is handling the project. Estimate of availability was "in a few months". That sounds like it could be by the end of this year. linda > Thank you. Did they by chance say what the cost of CD ROM will be? 3. I found this by doing a google search for US GEN WEB South Carolina Helplist. I couldn't send the url to the list since I can't figure out how to turn off the mime or html or whatever it is that causes it to bounce from the list, but you can find it with a search easily. It looks similar to the site we have for California where one can find lookups by Helplisters (I am one) Maybe some on the site can find death index info. That is a popular request for our CA site. ron
