I am looking for the parents of Rosa J Helton, b 18 June 1838, d 17 Feb 1897, born and died in Chesterfield Co, SC. Rosa married Thos Henry Watts (1805-1879) , s/o Thos Watts (1763-1841) and Lavinia Huntley. They were married 28 Feb 1859 in Union Co, NC, which is just across the state line from Chesterfield Co, SC. Thos Henry Watts' mother was living in Union Co at the time. I have the marriage bond and license, so I know these dates are correct. Thos H Watts was so much older than Rosa, that I wonder if he had a first wife and family before marrying her. I would LOVE to find Rosa's parents (my GGGgrandparents)! I would also love to talk with anyone who has Watts connections in Anson/Union Co, NC and Chesterfield Co, SC. chp --

Hi, No, have no southern info on MYERS but see them from time to time. There was an Alexander (I think) MYERS who married into the POOL family, but no nothing about him. There are MYERS records in the south because people ask me about them sometimes.
