    3. Thanks Brenda, I will be purchasing the Kindle version. I just got one a month ago and this purchase will really help pay for it. Hardback is 45.00 and I would not have ordered just off an index although it has a lot of families I am exploring to try to prove my Stewarts. Kindle version is 9.45 and it has a search engine so I don't even have to use the index. I am really beginning to love this. I can have a whole library in my purse and waiting in doctor's offices or a car ride, I always have something "I" want to read. Since you posted the index, I will be glad to do look ups for anyone and then if they think there would be enough about their family, they can decide to purchase or not. For those who do not have a Kindle and one to try ebooks out, there is a free app that goes on your computer. Just put on your computer. Look for a "free" ebook on Amazon.com by just typing "free ebook" in the search engine and download one. (there are over 38000, mostly fiction) but you can see if it works for you. My son kept telling me to get one but I like to try before I buy. There are Nooks (Barnes and Noble) my son has this one and Amazon has the Kindle and both work fine but they have a different library available so you might explore by searching for some of your favorite books. This book is not available on Nook, and my library had free Kindle downloads so that was why I went with Kindle but both great products. I don't know about others but I can spend less than 10 dollars on a book much faster than I do 45 dollars. I will admit that I feel a little guilty at times that the author will not make as much money but most of the 45.00 is publishing cost and I am not sure how much "profit" is gained by each. I finally got rid of the guilt when my son told me that they can choose not to do an ebook, so now I am guilt free and spending way more money on books that I ever had. LOL I have not checked out titles but Project Gutenberg also has over 39000 free historic books. http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?ie=UTF8&docId=1000426311&tag=googhydr-20&hvadid=7442400567&ref=pd_sl_6g97entshf_b On 6/29/2012 3:53 AM, Brenda Brazell wrote: > I was looking at other counties, and how the counties came about being. This was referring to first families of Edgefield County. Listed Israel Gaunt and Hannah Gaunt, remembered, you were looking for Gaunt. This link only has 23 pages, but should have 182 plus indexes and appendixes and bibliography. So this is not the complete document. The Gaunt family says on page 182, so it has more for them than just a list of early settlers. > > > http://www.researchonline.net/catalog/pdf/first_families_vol1_promo.pdf > > It lists this towards the bottom: > > http://www.researchonline.net/cataolg/first/indes.htm > > Have not checked it out yet. > > Brenda > > > > ________________________________ > From: Judith F.
