    3. here is a forwarded question from Anne Crocker. ----- Original Message ----- From: Anne Crocker To: Judith F. Russell Sent: Sunday, March 11, 2012 9:33 PM Subject: Fwd: [PaOldC] John JONES, d. @ 1797 Edgefield SC Anyone with our SC groups know of this Jones family? Is it part of the family around Padgett's Creek and Cross Keys in Union, SC, that gave the name to Jones Ford and Jones Mill on the Enoree where my Dodd clan lived? Sorry, I'm packing to go away or I'd do the research. Anne Begin forwarded message: From: Jbrown400@aol.com Date: March 11, 2012 6:19:07 PM EDT To: pa-old-chester@rootsweb.com Subject: [PaOldC] John JONES, d. @ 1797 Edgefield SC John Jones moved from Chester Co, PA, to Edgefield Dist., SC, and died there @ 1797. He left a will that mentions his 7 children (no wife) and gives the name of only one child: Jonathan. Daniel Williams of Wrightsborough, GA, formerly of Chester Co., is John Jones's executor. Witnesses were John Dunkard, Thomas Atkinson and James Scott. Does anyone know the names of John Jones's children or what John Jones's connection was to Daniel Williams? I believe they were both Quakers and possibly distant relatives. Were John Dunkard, Thomas Atkinson or James Scott originally from Chester County?
