Sue Ellen, Yep, it is the same family. I just checked and had not noticed that Henry had two wives, Hannah Brown and Mary Thompson and I only have my brother in law's direct line entered. I need to branch this family out anyway. Do you know Ralph and Joyce Magee? She had an Interior decorator business in Arcanum and he was buider in Darke County, Magee Bros Contruction. That is my sister and brother in law. Then my daughter is Nikki Nealeigh who is the Childcare Director at the YMCA in Greenville. My oldest two children graduated from Greenville. Ralph's line goes back like this Ralph Magee>Ruth Wintrow/Sam Magee>Liberty Wintrow/Anna Cunkel>Adam Wintrow/Hester Penny>Elijah Penny>Rachel Miles>John Penny/Esther Thompson>Henry Penny 1754-1841 I have not verified any of his early Penny lines as they had been done by others and he had a manuscript. I will get it back from him and see what other Penny's are in it. I am going over there tomorrow but I think it was mainly Wintrow. I worked on Magee for him. He was one of 10 kids but all the way back there were few siblings in any of this grandparents line so not much about Magee to be found but I did get them back to New Jersy/Md. I know that the Penny stuff need verified before I would want to offer that it is correct. You will find Henry and Hannah in the South Carolina archives under Thickpenny. I am not sure if they changed it before they moved here but I know it was not used here. Here is link if you don't have it http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov/onlinearchives/Search.aspx?br=1 These need sorting out as there is John Thickpenny and a Hannah Thickpenny signed a will. So I am thinking they are a pair but there is also a John Penny so I did not get into if this is the same man. I also searched for Ralph Hunt and found both John Thickpenny and Ralph Hunt lived on the Tyger River. This is a great resource as you can add a location once you find them and find the neighbors. I like to start by seeing if the parents spouses of siblings lived in that area to help determine if it could be the right family when there are no marriage or birth records. I did a quick check of Hinshaw and did find a "Ralph Hunt" at Bush River but no Penny. Our Esther Thompson was disowned from Cane Creek MM when she married John Penny, so it looks like the Penny family was not Quaker. There is a Marshall researcher from this line that I was corresponding with last year that I think also had Penny and he had documented things extremely well, so I will see if I can find his website and email address.
