Hi Sue Ellen and all, I missed the original of this post and I don't really have much to add but I am interested. First, may I ask what age Thomas Penny who marred Christianna Hunt? I have a Thomas Penny son of John Penny and Esther Thompson. Thomas's brother Elijah married Rachel Miles and they are the ancestral grandparents of my brother in law Ralph Magee. They were definitely from Bush River area. I have several Hunts but no complete family lines, just as spouses of some of my families like the Beals. Is this your Thomas? We are planning a big 80th birthday party for my brother in law next week, so I may not respond quickly but I am interested. The Penny's lived in both Miami and Darke County Ohio. Do you live in Ohio? I am in Springfield but was born and raised in Miami County. Vivian Markley

Vivian, Hello! My Christianna was born 11-6-1779 and died 01-20-1857 and is buried in the Old Ludlow Cemetary in Laura Ohio. Her parents were Ralph Sr. and Rachel Campbell Hunt from Union Co., South Carolina. Christianna was married to Thomas Penny s/o Henry and Hannah Brown Penny also buried in Old Ludlow. His dates are 1783-1851. They were married 10-22-1807.. I hpe this helps. My 3rd great grandfather Elijah Hunt was Ralph Sr.s grandson.
