I'm also interested in the early auntt records you have. Do these contain any marriage information? I descend from Israel Gauntt. I am hoping to find something on he Newberry list. Info. I have for my TEAGUE family came from another researcher of early ewberry, SC families from a few years ago. She states: "In 1807 James eague was ordained a Baptist minister by Bush River Baptist Church, ewberry Dist, SC. His father, Joshua Teague (Rev. War Patriot), and family ere also members there." She said there's an extant list of members of the arly Bush River Baptist Church; also info. about early ordinations there; ut couldn't find her copy. Any help with Rush River Baptist records would eally be appreciated. s stated here earlier, I also have a GAUNTT line assos. with Newberry. A ew years before the Revolution my 5Gr-GP- Joshua & Dorothy (Gauntt) Teague, ar. in Rowan Co, NC, and later fled to upper SC (Newberry) in 1763 with any others to escape ruthless Tory depredations (SEE: Regulators in lamance Co, NC). Dorothy & her brother Israel Gauntt (f/o-Hannah) were also n this group who fled NC for SC. They had been 'dismissed' from Quaker ellowship in NJ, even before moving to NC, family lore says for their Rebel sympathies'. Their brother Samuel Gauntt also came to Newberry at his time, but he remained a Quaker, later moving back to NJ where other uaker family members still lived. At the time they came to Newberry, I believe the Teagues (Joshua, his rothers & uncles) were all non-Quaker, and this is why I am looking so hard or the early church records for verification of Joshua & James Teague's embership there. ny help appreciated, Martha in AL ------------------------------ o unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SC-BUSHRIVERQUAKERS-request@rootsweb.com > ith the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of he message ------------------------------ o unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SC-BUSHRIVERQUAKERS-request@rootsweb.com > ith the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of he message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SC-BUSHRIVERQUAKERS-request@rootsweb.com ith the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of he message ------------------------------ o unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SC-BUSHRIVERQUAKERS-request@rootsweb.com ith the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of he message
