Jane, There is a relatively new DNA project that you may also want to join after the Chandler DNA results come back. If the Chandler DNA project is through FTDNA, it will be quite easy (and free) to join the British Origins Quaker DNA project as well. Anyone with United Kingdom Quaker DNA roots is welcome to join. If you're already a member of another DNA project, you can join this one as well, without giving up membership in the other. Here's a link to read more about it. http://www.familytreedna.com/public/britishquakers/ Your surname does not have to be on the list on the website in order to join. If you know of other British Quaker names, please let me know and I'll add them to the list. I tracked down a maledescendant of Jacob and Ann Chandler, and he's submitting DNA for theChandler DNA project. This may just help find out where Jacob camefrom! Also, this descendant of Jacob's has told me that the Chandler farm inNewberry (or at least part of it), is still in the hands of a Chandlerdescendant...his sister. He gave me her contact information andntold me when I'm in Newberry I should try to stop by. Of coursethat's him saying that, not her. : ) I'll try to do that if she'sopen to the idea. This farm would have been passed from Jacob to his son Israel I believe.
