Hello Vivian: Thanks for contacting me on the PEARSON line. We have never really determined who Anne (McClure) Pearson's Mother was. We know that her mother's name may have been Anne. Really haven't documented it at all yet. We do know that her father was Robert McClure who went to Indiana and died there. He married second to Anne's husband, Abel's sister, Rosanna (Pearson) Buffington, widow. (Which makes Abel's sister as his mother-in-law by marriage) (I know it sounds crazy). How did you find the father of Robert McClure as Samuel McClure and wife named Mary Stewart? I have never found that. Where and what sources do you have? I will gladly share with you on what I have. My grandmother's brother Azariah Stewart married Elizabeth Pearson descendent of Benjamin and Margaret Evans. Then your Anna McClure is the granddaughter of Samuel McClure and Mary Stewart. I have not been able to prove it but I think your Mary Stewart had a brother John who is the grandfather of Azariah Stewart above and my grandmother. My Stewart's are buried in Wright Cemetery in Shelby Co along with the McClures and Julians (my grandmother Stewart's maiden name) Also, Margery Pearson (mother was a McClure)is buried in the Thomas Cemetery in Troy. These folks lived in both Miami and Shelby Co. Do you live in Riverside that is close to Dayton? I grew up in Miami Co but now live in Springfield. I would love to share info.
