There may be a lot of us who are descendants of David and Dorcas Mote. Have you researched your Edwards lines? I have long been searching for information about Sarah Edwards, 1st wife of Nathaniel Carter Jr. m 1769. His second wife was "Mrs. Jane Edwards" m. 1791 and a third wife was Jane Collins m. 1798. They were in Orange Co. NC by 1758.
