    1. Re: [SC-BUSHRIVERQUAKERS] Pearson, Williams, Davis
    2. Hi I have enjoyed being a member of this list for a while now and am looking forward to your Cemetery Newsletter. I have been researching John Pearson b. abt. 1730 in Philadelphia and d. bet 1790-1800 in Orangeburgh District. He and his family came to Newberry District in 1750 with his father-in-law Paul Williams and family. They settled on Second Creek. John and Paul were Baptists and not Quakers. I am seeking John and Paul's roots in Pennsylvania. It may be possible that John was a Quaker turned Baptist. Also researching Davis family. Seeking info on a family, some of whom left Orangeburgh/Barnwell for Newberry in abt mid 1700's. Harmon, Asa, Van, William, Rezin. Who was their father? Eastern Standard Time, [email protected] writes: In the last few days I've added a good many new subscribers to the list because of their interest in our upcoming Dec 2008 Bush River Cemetery Newsletter. That newsletter will go out in the next few days. It will be sent via this list ([email protected]) In the meantime, I hope that the new subscribers will want to introduce themselves and their research interests to our list. We now have over 250 members, all of whom have an interest in the Bush River Quakers, their backgrounds, their families, their travels, etc. This is the best way to make contact with others who are interested in the Quaker families who at one time lived in Newberry, SC. Here's how to send a message: New (and old) members: to send a message to the list, you can simply "reply" to this message and state your interests. BUT PLEASE, if you hit reply instead of creating a new message, CHANGE THE SUBJECT LINE, that is, type over the "Welcome New subscribers." Put your family interests or brief question in the subject line so that we can all tell at a glance what the message is about. Or you can create a new message and send it to: [email protected] New members, I think you will find this one of the best groups ever for sharing information, ideas, and research clues. We've had many interesting exchanges here on the list. I personally have made lots of new friends and email pals, too. Please send us your interests and don't worry about receiving too many emails ....we have bursts of activity and weeks of Nothing! Remember, please.....CHANGE THE WORDING OF THE SUBJECT LINE WHEN YOU REPLY, except if your reply is actually about the subject. New members, Welcome! We hope to hear from you soon. Also, please forward this email on to others who might be interested in our free email list and have them write to me at [email protected] if they want to subscribe.
