I have quiet a few Sarah Edwards in the line. It seems to be a popular name in that time frame. I have a few that I have no husbands for, though. I have information back to a Joseph Edwards Born: around 1660, Lambourn(e) Woodlands, Berkshire Parish, Wiltshire, England??? Married about 1694, a Mary Hickman, Born: 17 November, 1665 Lambourn(e) Woodlands Berkshire Parish, Wiltshire, England Died: 1733. We have not been able to find anything further about him. His son Joseph Born: abt 1695, Concord Chester (Now Delaware) County Pa. Married before 1741,a Sarah Born: before 1699, Died: unk, in Hampshire Co. Va. We have heard a couple different last names for her (Chamberlain, Nalley) but no proof either way. The Edwards I am looking for in Newberry County, is a Samuel Edwards Born: 27 May, 1741 in Berkeley Co, VA Died: abt 1799 in Newberry County, SC. He married a Hannah Born: Unk, place unk, Died: after 1799, place unk. I know they had 5 kids, 3 sons, David, Charles, Thomas and 2 daughters Sarah and Ann/Nancy birth dates unk. I know very little about all the kids but David, who is my 5th grandfather.
