I'm looking for an Isaac Thomas who first shows up in Christian Co. KY around 1812 among my family group (Williamses and others) who came from Newberry. I don't know that he was part of the circle when they lived in SC, and don't know that any of them were Quakers. They were mostly affiliated with the Bush River Baptist church and left SC for KY and then IN around the same time your Quakers were leaving. -------------- Original message -------------- From: [email protected] > Although I do not have specific family connections, I suspect that I am kin to > Abel Thomas, a Quaker minister who visited along the wagon road and into the > Carolinas during Revolutionary War times.  He had an authorization from General > Nathaniel Greene, and I suspect that he may have had relatives down there > somewhere, as well as being on a mission from God.
