Local historian Ernest Shealy will speak about Newberry as a destination for our Quaker ancestors. Box lunches available for those who have pre-ordered (see registration form) 9:30 am: Group carpools to the Quaker Cemetery with Bench presentation at 10:15 10:45 am: Group carpools to Wagon Road vista at Molly's Rock Road between Molly's Rock Park and Mt. He will also join us at the Quaker Cemetery where Barnett Warren, whose Cooper ancestors were early Union County Quakers, will also relate some local history. The Padgett's Creek Quaker Cemetery is about 2 miles from Rose Hill, accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles or by an easy half mile walk from parking on the Old Buncombe Road.)
