Slightly on a different note, does anyone on this list know the location of the old PARKINS Family Cemetery? We lived in Newberry in the early 1970s, but I did not know that I had several lines who came there from VA along with some of the earliest families! How I wish I had known! Daniel PARKINS, who is written about in the old book on Newberry County, was Quaker, and he is buried in this old cemetery along with his wife, at least two sons, and probably quite a few others. Daniel died just a few days after first, one son, then a second son and his wife had died. I am not certain of the dates at present, but I know that Daniel came from Winchester, VA, in the mid-1700s. He was a well-respected man. The cemetery was located abt 3-7 miles from Prosperity as I remember reading a while back. It seems that it was southwest of Prosperity. Thank you for any help. If I can find any clues as to it's location, I would like to try to visit it. I live in Myrtle Beach but go home to the Upstate sometimes and pass right by the exits to Prosperity and Newberry.
