    3. I'm very interested in this group who were right in the heart of many of my families. IF anyone knows how to access these early Quaker records, please let me know. Notes from a fellow TN Duncan/Dunkin researcher and cousin: Happy Top Cemetery is also known as Tallassee or Tallassie Cemetery. It is located just off the Mount Pleasant Road about 3 miles south of Citico Beach. "A short distance from the old Carringer Post Office on the Millsaps farm is the Old Tallassee School. In the beginning the Quakers established a church there. After the church fell into a state of disrepair, a school was built there. It was known as Tallassee School. The Quakers established a cemetery by the church. The school was used for church purposes and when a revival was held there the people got happy. From that time on the school house was known as "Happy Top." The Quakers in East Tennessee Blount, Jefferson, and Monroe COunties were with the Wilmington, Ohio association - not NC as some where. Ithink I was told there were all at Friendsville. I have about 10 pages of the old records out of Monroe County. See, my Maynard family deeded a church called Maynard's Chapel in the Three Point area of Monroe in 1908. This is where the Martin/Three Point Cemetery is located today. Even though it STILL belongs to the Wilmington, OH association...Willard Anderson has a Quit Deed to it somehow. There is microfilm of the Quaker records on microfilm at the E TN Historical Center - I think mostly of Monroe County...but, there may be one for the Friendville one there also...never checked. I got my 10-12 pages from the minister of the Ballplay Friends... There are some Millsaps's on the pages that I have.
