    3. Curious - regarding last note (might be for the 2011 reunion??) - the Hollingsworth (I am a descendent and belong to the Hollingsworth Society despite not having been able to this point of going to a reunion) reunion I thought in 2012 was to be in Texas. Is there a 2nd in June cause that would be great - I live in New York and would love to be able to attend. 3. Probable connection to the Ross/Hollingsworth marriage below" Old Frederick Co., VA, Historical Series, ed. Wilmer L. Kerns, PhD V II Historical Records of old Frederick and Hampshire Co., VA p. 178 Ross, Alexander, was born circa 1682, probably in Ireland. He was orphaned in 1693 when his father, John Rosss (1658-1693) died. On Apr 11, 1706, in Philadelphia, PA, he married Catherine CHAMBERS. They were among the first settlers in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, in 1730; were members of the Friends (Quakers); and were pioneer developers of “the Opecckin settlement”, meaning the Opequon Creek in old Frederick County, Virginia. He died in late 1748 and she in early 1749, near Winchester, VA. A knowledgeable person on the Ross surname: Mrs. David R. Stevens, 509 Franklin Dr., San Marcos, TX 78666. This pair Alexander Ross/Catherine Chambers were the parents of Mary (ca 13 Dec 1706 Chester/Deleware Co., PA-bef Nov 1771 Frederick Co., VA) who married John Littler (ca 28 Mar 1708 Nottingham, Chester, PA-1748 Frederick Co., VA). These are the inlaws of Edward Dodd, who married their daughter Mary or Marsy/Massy ca Sep 1753 in Frederick, VA's Hopewell MM in that Opequon Creek settlement. John Littler's parents: Samuel Littler Sr/Rachel Minshall Constantly searching for possible clues and connections to those Dodds. William Dodd, probably in Chester, PA's townships around Thornbury/Concord/Kennett from 1718-1740, then to Northern Neck, VA, in 1740/41 until late fall 1768; then probably the Bush River MM area, requesting survey of land in 1770/71 in what became the Padgett's Creek/Cross Keys area of Union, SC. William was the father of Edward Dodd above. Wife Catherine is still without confirmed parents, but rumored to be Irish.
