It is still up and running, Debi. I have been spending most of my "research" time lately working on the Revolution in the south. If you remember, our mutual George McKinsey is proven to have spent time in the SC militia which would make him a loyalist in this time period. I had Quakers not related to George who were trying to sit out the war in NC.....and a 6-gr-grandfather who may have fought on the patriot side from Wrightsboro, GA.....not to mention several who fought in the south who were from the Shenandoah Valley and from Pittsylvania County, VA....then I had the appalachia ancestors who fought at the Battle of Point Pleasant and at least one who rallied to fight at Kings Mountain. Those are just the men who pop into my mind quickly. Ten years ago I was totally interested in the Civil War and couldn't imagine who would be interested in the Revolution....but that was before I discovered the Revolution in the south! It was our first Civil War. Great to hear from y! ou. marsha On Sep 20, 2011, at 9:26 AM, debiham@comcast.net wrote: > I haven't seen a message from this mail list in a couple months. Hi: I cannot find any record of my GGGG Grandfather Daniel Williams who was married to Cassandra Prather Williams during the Rev. War records. I have been told that he gave supplies and that there should be a listing. He lived on Bush River and Williams Beaver Dam Creek. He belonged to the Bush River Baptist Church and he and his family is listed in those records. Any other suggestions of where to look? Tina Williams Swyers
