The will of John Sawyer who names sons: John, Robert and Soloman was never probated that I have been able to find. I believe the will was made in 1713 but never probated. So we do not know where or when this John Sawyer died unless someone else has some information. The will for Thomas Sawyer Albermarle, Pasquotank Precinct states daughter Dancy McDonnell instead of wife. Some have speculated that her name may be Nancy and she could have been married to a McDaniel. >From earlier records, I believe the wife of Thomas was Mary. Then we have William Sawyer very early in the area. WILLIAM SAWYER - APPEARS 1691 (NO WILL HAS BEEN FOUND) A John and William Sawyer mentioned together in court record 1704. So we know there was some kind of relationship between an early William Sawyer and a John Sawyer. That's all for now.
