My hubbie's line goes from William, then son Samuel (as yours), then heads "west". How lucky you were to have your line stay where the towns kept records so well. I started a file a few years back, trying to work "who the surlines were" of the children of William. Got about half way through. Even though I live in the California desert, I have a lot of data on the "first ones" Noni Sawyer >>Hello My line is from William Sawyer too. I brought the book "Sawyer Families of New England 1636 to 1900" by Eleanor Sawyer. It has lots of information about the Sawyer brothers. Let me know what you need and I will copy it for you...Joan
