    1. Thomas, John, Charles
    2. Regarding the Pasquotank Sawyers Charles Sawyer - See also Thomas Sawyer 1730 between Thos. Sawyer and Charles Sawyer Space for the grave of John Sawyer father of Thomas. Fee paid by Charles Sawyer. Ref: To Chapell at Sawyers Creek July Court 1730. The above certainly is a mystery. Could they be talking about John Sawyer who supposedly died in 1713. He had a son named Thomas....but his will was probated in 1720 so we know it is not referring to the first John and Thomas Sawyer. John Sawyer Sr. had a son, John Sawyer Jr. has he been traced? Could he have had a son named Thomas? There must have been two Charles Sawyers by 1730 because there is a reference regarding Charles Sawyer to Capt. sawyer's old plantation. We know in 1690s there was a Charles Sawyer but have not been able to trace him or fit him into the early Sawyers other than owning property near the early Sawyers The above certainly is a mystery and one a group of us have been working on over one year in an effort to seperate these early Sawyers. I wish that magic person would appear who knows about the above reference. Also I have a reference as I have seen that people were looking for a Malachi Sawyer or a Cornelius Sawyer. Marriages for Cornelius Sawyer in Carteret Co. Marriages. Cornelius m. Frances Ann Gordon 12/23/1860 Cornelius Sawyer m. Harriett Windsor 12/2/1867 In the Henry Sawyer line there is supposedly Cornelius, son of Daniel Sawyer >From wills of Camden Co. 1755-1854 appears Malichi Sawyer was son of Cornelius Will 1753. Sister of Malachi is Martha Will of William Sawyer lists a son Malachi 1783 Hopes this helps someone on the list. Thanks A. Sawyer
