Boy you guys ! Shannon, Joan & Denise, Go away for a day and things get interesting. Went down to the Hall of Records in Norwalk, Calif. and found the Marriage record of the Birth-mother of my adopted 19 yr. old grandson whom we raised---promised I would try and make contact with the family for him------but her parents are in Penn.----any ideas guys ??/ Now, Joan--- I do not , nor have seen the Sawyer book by Eleanor Sawyer. Where can it be bought ?? I have a very good book, "Four Generations of Descendants of William Sawyer of Newbury" by Noreen Pramberg. It gives a lot of data on each person. Shannon, I live in the hills above Palmdale---just wind, Joshua Trees and Coyotes ! Just over the hill from you. Denise, my line--Wm. 1, Samuel 2, Samuel 3, Edmond 4, Joseph 5, and Joseph 6 who lived in Newport, New Hamp., ------------how closed was that to where your " Mercy Sawyer" was buried ? Joseph 6 was from a large family, had 4 brothers------maybe one of them were in New Hampshire---- I know there were a bunch of Sawyer's up there at that time.---------- Years ago when I was researching this (1977 in fact)--- I wrote the Librarian in Newport----just address it to the town Library ------ They kept fantastic records in all these small towns.
