Hi-- I'm new to this site; haven't even received any messages yet. Unfortunately none of my Sawyer's are listed yet in the name index on the web. I'll be getting my information together one of these days to send in. My earliest discovered Sawyers are from Gardiner, Maine (Kennebec County). The oldest name I have is Ezekiel S. Sawyer (no other info). He married Sally Atkins in 1824 in Gardiner. The descendents eventually moved to Penobscot (Hancock County), and then Brewer (Penobscot County). My direct line moved to Lynn, MA about 1880; my great-grandmother was Lottie Judson Sawyer (born to Charles W. and Abby (Leach) Sawyer in Lynn, MA in 1886).
