Hello, I have not completely solved my Sawyers yet and at this point I would try any way to search the name. I am not very familiar with the dit names or how it works for sure and the difference in the name in French vursis English either. My Sawyer is from born Montreal Que. in about 1823 and she went home to parents I assume at Hogansburg, New York. Even had her on some census but not enough yet. So I would say just keep trying.
