Hi Noni and All, I think I can shed some more light on this line. This information you have sounds like what appeared in final form in Ruth Sawyer Thompson's "Dear Folks" book on the 4 lines of she and her husband's parents (Joseph Thompson, James Sawyer, Hugh Thompson and Booth families). The book was published in 1972 and I received my copy from my grandfather (Clifford Benjamin Sawyer). My site at http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Fields/3076 has most of the Sawyer information from this book on it. Bert Sawyer was one of the many people Ruth had gotten info from in preparing the book. I'd be happy to try to answer other questions based on my copy of the book. Contrary to the book's statement that James was born in England, I believe he was born in New England and is descended from Thomas Sawyer through John and James, but I haven't been able to prove this yet. Also, some research on file at the Orange County Genealogical Society in Goshen, NY indicates that his wife's maiden name was probably not Bradner. Steve Sawyer in AZ
