My husband is descended from William Sawyer and Ruth Crookum/Crookham through their son, Edmund. I have searched for years for William's parents with no success. Do you know who they are? We are fortunate (?) enough to have 3 Sawyer lines in this familly. Haven't found a common ancestor as far back as 1790. The other 2 lines are 1. Mathias Sawyer married to Fannie Williams and possibly the son of Elisha. 2. Thomas Sawyer, wife unknown, but the father of Archibald (Civil War soldier). Thomas is possibly the son of Pharoah Sawyer and Dorothy Riggs. As you can see, we need all the help we can get. Thanks for any information you may have.
