Dear Shannon, Ephraim Alvah Sawyer was descended from William Sawyer of Newbury, MA who was born in England about 1613. This descent is all covered in the book SAWYER FAMILIES OF NEW ENGLAND, 1636-1900 by Eleanor G. Sawyer, pub. 1995. In the front of the book it says that this book is available from: Eleanor G. Sawyer, PO Box 440, Strafford, NH 03884. I am also sure that it is probably available at some of the larger libraries.
