Henrietta, thank you so much for your quick response. What I am trying to find out is where my gggrandparents, Rebecca Sawyer and William Randolph were living when they were married. She was born 1803 or 07 in Camden Co.N.C. William is said to have come from the Norfolk, Va. area. Their son, John, is listed in the Sawyer Bible as having been born in 1828. The following two generations were born in Beaufort County. The question is: Did he settle in the Camden area before going to Beaufort, or did her family ever live in Beaufort?
