Possible that your Levi could be his father. Joel had 5 children (Joel Lee, William, AJ, Mary and John C)from his wife Nancey Amyet (Amyte). Found listing's for James, Thomas, and John Sawyer that also served from Marion Co. in CSA, family history has James and Thomas as cousins and John as a brother.
