He was born Aug 16, 1850 in Ontario (according to his memorial card) but was in New York for the Cencus of 1880 with a family of his own. On it he states his father was born in Canada and his mother in England. Nobody in the family has had any information about this man. He ended up leaving his family after the youngest child was born in the early 1900's and rumor has it he worked in Quebec and then came out to BC. His daughter followed him out and then married a Scotsman and started a dynasty here. His daughter Inez was the only one to settle here. One of her brothers came here, had a family and then went back to New York to die. Does this man sound familiar to anyone. Thanks
