    3. I have gone over this and can not place them with any information I have at this time or add anything. Does not mean that there is a document somewhere that will answer a lot of this but I have not come across it as yet. I suspected by the will of Lewis Sawyer naming the grandchildren - and the same children mentioned in the Deloach Bible records, that they definitely were the grandchildren of Lewis Sawyer. Lewis Sawyer was one of the elusive ones and not much was known about him until the last few years through documentation that has surfaced. I think I started questioning this link in the year 2000. A Henry Sawyer also was guardian of Floyd Sawyer and to my knowledge ***we do not know who this Henry Sawyer is as yet. He was named guardian of I believe it was Floyd Sawyer...after the death of Lewis. So there are some mysteries still lurking in this line. From our Sawyer research group at Yahoogroups: Crawford Co., GA: Lewis Sawyer died May 4, 1839, will probated July 1839 term, recorded July 2, 1839. Will named granddaughter Betsy Ann Lewis; daughter Jemima (Mima) Sawyer; daughter Martha Sawyer and three grandchildren Betsy Ann Lewis, Balsorg Lewis and Caroline Lewis; grandson Elden Sawyer and grandson Wilson Sawyer. He lived on land adjoining ELKA SAWYER (probably Elkanah). Executor was Watson Sawyer. Witnesses were Elkanah Sawyer, Thomas Cates and David Worsham. Elkanah was also one of the men who, on 26 Dec. 1838, returned an inventory and appraisement of the estate - valued at $1887.75. On 23 Mar. 1840: A list of property sold was returned ($1943.65). Some of the buyers were: Watson Sawyer, Patrick Sawyer Leontine Sawyer, Martha & Mima Sawyer and my g.g.grandfather Floyd Sawyer. 6 May 1850: Watson Sawyer was made guardian of Betsey Ann Lewis, Belsora Lewis and Caroline Lewis at the time of the death of their father Jesse Lewis (who was married to one of Watson Sawyer's daughters.) Crawford Co., GA: Watson Sawyer died 24 Sep. 1855, will probated Nove 1855 term, recorded 14 Nov. 1855. Named his wife Susannah Sawyer and daughter Sarah McGee. Susannah was executrix.
