He was in the Army. I am not sure exactly when, but it is not the same Col. John Sawyer noted in this forum. This John Sawyer was in the Army sometime between 1924 and 1960. He may have attended MIT. I have about a half dozen Radio and electronics engineering books dating between 1917 and 1948 that belonged to him. They are in good shape and I would like to find his family to give them to.
