Have you looked at the "family book" that connects with the Shannonhouse name. This deals with one of the first Sawyer families showing up in N. C. late 1600s and I believe died in early 1700s. Part of this family went into Illinois. I am sorry it has been a long time since I worked on this line but I believe the book is called "The House of Shannon" and written by Edna Shannonhouse. If I am wrong about the author, sorry, been quite a few years. I often wonder where the B. comes from in this name?
