She was married to M. L. Woody, He was known as "Fate", and I believe his middle name was Lafayette. He was born on 30 May 1842, and died on 4 June 1923. Both Susan and Fate are buried in the Reynolds Cemetary, Madison Co. NC. They had eight children. William M. Woody 4 Jan 1874, M. Elsie Woody 14 Jan 1878, Maggie J. Woody 28 May 1882, John S. Woody 5 Jan 1880, Tom A. Woody 7 Dec. 1887, Twins Hal B. and Callie M.Woody born on 24 Oct. 1889 and Burnett Jennings Woody born on 2 Feb 1898. All of this information comes from family Bibles, Obit notices, and hand written dates and names on pictures once belonging to one of Susan and Fate's children. I really don't have any more information about the Sawyer Family itself. I will go through the papers I have once again to see if I have overlook something.
