    2. Freda; I show the following: John-1751 Elkanah-1753 Sevility-1758 Deborah-1766 Lewis-1773 Sarah-1775 Cader-1777 Debony- ( no date ) I have not seen anything on Leontine. I have seen sources that place Priscilla ( Prissceler ) associated with McPherson. Do not have the data handy, but if memory serves me right, something happened to her parents, & she was adopted by the Keel family. I may be wrong, but until I find the data supporting this, or proven wrong otherwise, I will stand by this. Bert C. Sawyer korkie2@aol.com

    3. If I don't see the name McPherson printed out in a deed or proof where the family did take in and change a name, then I do not use it. Not found any guardian papers nor other papers with the name McPherson appearing on them...so if it "ain't there", in genealogy, it did not happen! 3. Bert, below are the names of the children as I have them. I have Priscilla adopted by her step-father Louis/Lewis Powell, who married Priscilla's mother Sarah Johnston after Samuel Keel died. John (1751-ca1821) Elkanah (ca1753-1815) George (1755-1835) Servility (ca1759-) Anselm (ca1762-1781) Deboney/Deborah (ca1766-) Lewis (ca1773-1839) Sarah (ca1775-) Cader (ca1777-ca1844) SInce I can find no reference to the name "McPherson," for now I am taking it out of my record. Stay in touch. There seems to be a number of reseachers working on this Sawyer family. I just wish I lived where I could get to records and documents. Fortunately, those who can are willing to share their work.
