The only reference I found to William Sawyer was the ship Hopewell in Hotten,s Original List (H74) which indicates William and Thomas Sawyer age 18 7 23 came to Warwick Squeak, Virginia on that ship in 1625. Janet Sawyer Michel Jjm28533@aol.com
Interestingly enough there were one or two William Sawyers in the Pasquotank area early late 1600s and early 1700s but can not place them with the original Sawyers in the area but they were "close" to the original Sawyer families but have found no documentation as to relationship.
