    3. Freeda there is absolutely no proof of a William Sawyer with a documented son, John, and I have researched in early Virginia pre 1680 and, early N. C. 1680s through 1730s. If you think about it...the date 1642 would put a supposedly William 90 years old when John Sawyer was born. Even if this was a grandfather still about 60 years off. There were William Sawyers around but none have been linked by any proof to this John Sawyer.
