    3. Hello Everybody Especially Freda, Having seen your message I wonder whether there was a connection with the parish of Netheravon, Wiltshire, England? The reason I ask is that there were large families of Sawyer and Keel in the parish some of whom are related to me. 3. Rod, there seems to be a large number of Sawyer researchers, so maybe we will be able soon to put together a good documented record of this family. My earliest recorded Sawyer is Colonist William Sawyer, born ca 1642. I don't have a reference for that info. Does anyone out there know where info on Colonist William Sawyer came from? I have this note, "James City County, Virginia, 1624. One researcher many years ago stated that William Sawyer came in to Elizabeth Cith from England and it was William Jr. who left NC and went to Edgefield Districk S. C.," with my source as Harry Belflower, dated 2003. Has anyone else found Sawyers and Keels in Wiltshire, England? Thank you, Rod Researching my Southern families: Rober(t)son, Blakely, Wright, Godbold, Sills, Thornton, Regan, Sims, Jones, Riley, Boles, On Jan 10, 2006, at 3:18 AM, clargo wrote: > Hello Everybody Especially Freda, > > Having seen your message I wonder whether there was a connection > with the > parish of Netheravon, Wiltshire, England? > The reason I ask is that there were large families of Sawyer and > Keel in the > parish some of whom are related to me. > > Rod Whale in Andover, Hampshire. >
