Hi, I haven't dabbled in the genealogy lately - not since I got a part-time job once my son advanced to first grade (& my daughter now in 3rd grade), but I'm still reading posts. Still a bit confused by it all (my mom's cousin is still more knowledgable about all of this). Anyway, I'm still interested in hearing from descendants of Pharoah Sawyer (Camden County/South Mills (Gum Swamp?) area of NC), b. circ. 1765/d. 1818. My mom descends: Pharoah Sawyer-Dorothy Riggs Grandy Sawyer (b. 1790-94)-? George Sawyer (b. 1825/d. 1883)-Mary Whitehurst Samuel Sawyer-Mary Ella Wilson (dau. of Benjamin Isaac Wilson & Rebecca Hubbard & sibling of Charles Martin (Uncle Pop) Wilson & Bertie Meekins Wilson Rice) Also still interested in knowing whatever happened to Granville Woodrow Sawyer (b. 1914 in Roper, NC. Moved to Wash., DC. Worked at Mayflower Hotel while living w/wife (Mildred?) and child (?). Had family rift & may have joined the army & moved to Houston, TX. Nothing more heard from him or friend of his after call to family from Houston, TX. Relatives mistakenly informed called that nobody was interested in hearing from him. :-( -Jean Johnson [email protected] [email protected] ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
