My great grandfather, James (Jimmy) Sawyers married Pashia Jane Roberts, who is supposedly part or all Native American. James had three brothers that I know of: John, Joe and Lee or Posey Lee. James and Pashia had several children. I cannot list them all off of the top of my head but here are a few: William Andrew (my grandfather), Mary Ellen, Nancy, Maggie, Monroe, Tennessee (Aunt Tenny). If anyone wants more info I will be glad to share. I have more than I posted here. I am also searching for Hudson, Baker, Penick, Adams. I have a great grandmother Hudson who is on the Cherokee Freedman roll. I believe she was from another tribe and they took her and her family as a slave.
