Posted on: Sawyer Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Sawyer/200 Surname: Sawyer, McLellan, Duffy, Smith, Sockwell, Stockton ------------------------- I don't know if this message was directed to me personally or the Sawyer list but my descendant was Wm G Sawyer married to Sarah A F Wilbanks.......he was from N Carolina and she from S Carolina....they came through Tennessee to Texas in or just before 1850, settled in Rusk,Texas then Wood county Texas, then Limestone county and separated to Hunt and Sommervell counties.....he died in Wood cty about 1858 and she in Limestone county a couple of years later, I think. My G-Grandmother was Wms youngest daughter, Mary Texanna....she married Archibald McLellan and settled in Hunt county Texas in 1873...her brothers were in Limestone and Sommervelle cty.....possibly in Eastland, Tx....hope this rings a bell with someone.....Dina Spencer
