Morris Sawyer was born in Reading, VT, in 1782 to John and Olive Sawyer. He married Sally Parker, and they had: Clarissa, Chloe, Daniel (or David?), Fidilia, Elle, Elisha Pike, John Parker, and Sally. His wife and some of his children are buried at Daniel's Cemetery in Ridgeway, Orleans County, NY. But he may not be there. Apparently he survived his wife. He died after she did, in 1858, in Minden Claibourn Parish, Louisiana. Does anyone know if Morris Sawyer is buried in Minden Claibourn or Claiborn Parish in Louisiana, or what sent him there? Jane, If Morris Sawyer is buried in Minden, LA, its Webster Parish because Minden is in Webster Parish, not Claiborne Parish.
