I'm looking for information on Robert and Louisa Sawyer. Robert was born 1859, presumably in Canada. He married Mary Catharine Louisa Little who went by the name Louisa. Louisa was born 13 Jun 1857 in Dudswell, Quebec. Robert and Louisa married in 1869 and they adopted an Australian girl, Sylvia Shuffleton who arrived in Canada in 1899. I have Robert and Louisa in the 1881 and Robert , Louisa and Sylvia in the 1911 census but am unable to find them in the 1901 census or 1900 US census. It appears that they disappeared after 1881 and re-appeared in 1911.
