OBITUARY THE STRATFORD JOURNAL, FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 1933 MRS. GEO. PETRIE - 1910-1933 The body of Mrs. George Petrie, who died at Chicago last Saturday, was shipped to Stratford [Wisconsin] for burial, the funeral held Wednesday morning at 9 o�clock at the St. Joseph�s Catholic church, Rev. J. L. Schumacher officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Petrie, nee Alvira Sawyer, was born at Fenwood on the 20th day of August, 1910. She was married to George Petrie of Chicago, May 4, 1928. She is survived by her husband, her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Sawyer of Wausau; five brothers, Bert of Wausau; Raymond of Stratford; Louis of Wausau; George of Argyle, and Alexander of Wausau; and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Hawley of Argyle, Mrs. Loretta Whitfield of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Dorothy Tickner of Wisconsin Rapids, and Miss Louella Sawyer of Wausau. ------ I am related to the Petrie family through my Kaiser line, and the Sawyer family through my Laessig line.
