I too am descended from Sawyers of Pasquotank Co. My gggrandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Sawyer born Aug. 2, 1838. Her father was William Beck Sawyer who moved from Pasquotank Co. to Lauderdale Co., TN (I believe sometime before 1850). Our family records have Charlotte Williams as her mother. Wm. Beck Sawyer's parents were Joel Sawyer and Rebecca Beck. Are any of these name familiar or perhaps found in the book about the Sawyers of Pasquotank.
